Expands executive team and positions the company for continued growth
TAMPA, Fla. – (Nov. 21, 2014) — Vology, Inc., an IT solutions provider specializing in networking, storage and virtualization infrastructure and technical services, took an additional step in aligning the Company for future growth by promoting John O’Shea to company president.

Promoted from SVP of sales, O’Shea will continue to lead Vology’s sales organization while now being charged with consolidated performance among sales, marketing, product management, purchasing and pre-sales engineering departments as a tightly-aligned, customer-facing unit.
Barry Shevlin, Vology chief executive officer and founder acknowledged O’Shea’s contribution to the Vology team: “As we have worked to transform Vology into a full service solutions provider, John’s experience in the IT industry has helped us accelerate the adoption of new product lines, build strategic relationships and transform our sales organization. In his new role as president he will continue to focus on driving growth and changing the field of play for us and our customers.”
O’Shea brings more than 18 years of experience in developing and implementing customer centric strategies in the IT industry. He joined Vology in 2012 from Tech Data Corporation, a $26 billion Fortune 100-ranked global IT distribution company. In his 16 years at Tech Data he served as VP HP solutions and VP network product marketing, as well as in a number of other leadership roles among Tech Data’s marketing, purchasing and sales divisions. He was named Tech Data’s Vice President of the Year in 2011.
O’Shea holds a B.A. from the University of Florida and an MBA from The Florida State University. He was recognized in 2012 as a Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever by the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility. He has also served on the boards of the Pinellas County Urban League and the Pinellas Unit of the American Cancer Society.
