Vermont is the first state in the nation to pass legislation pertaining to Right to Repair by establishing a Right to Repair Task Force, now underway. There will be a series of 5 monthly meetings and the conclusions of the Task Force will be reported back to the Legislature for action in the 2019 session.
Opposition lobbyists fought hard to prevent any scrutiny or study and have yet to explain why they need to have repair monopolies.
