Melbourne, Australia — September 10, 2013 — Tangoe, Inc. (NASDAQ: TNGO), a leading global provider of Communications Lifecycle Management (CLM) software and related services, today announced it has begun delivering a full suite of Telecom Expense Management (TEM) software and services for leading technology and innovation provider Siemens Australia.
With presence in Australia for more than 140 years, Siemens Australia has been a leader in providing technology solutions in the areas of energy, healthcare, industry and infrastructure for customers. Supporting these operations, Siemens has a large number of mobile services and devices deployed in both Australia and New Zealand. In an effort to more effectively manage communications costs and resources, Siemens evaluated its communications cost management technologies, processes and provider.
After completing a comprehensive TEM vendor review process, Siemens selected Tangoe to provide a fully hosted TEM solution. Tangoe completed a customized TEM strategy and implemented a comprehensive TEM solution that provides Siemens Australia with a unified view of all expenses across its fixed and mobile environment of thousands of devices.
“After using a different software-based solution for more than a decade, we re-evaluated our needs and how we could more effectively address our telecom management in Australia,” said Charles Cheong, Head of CIT, Siemens Australia. “It was important to have a partner with local customer support that was able to provide us with a solution environment managed by both the vendor and Siemens. With Tangoe’s TEM solution, we were also able to consolidate our call accounting software and Telecom Expense Management systems into a single solution in order to reduce our fixed and mobile operational costs. Our progress to-date has confirmed that Tangoe was the correct partner choice and we are confident that Tangoe will be able to support our telecom needs as we continue to grow the solution in the APAC region.”
“The global demand for communications lifecycle management solutions continues to grow and we are excited to work with Siemens Australia to support their communications lifecycle needs,” said Al Subbloie, president and CEO of Tangoe. “Tangoe’s expansion into global markets enables enterprises, like Siemens, to increase control, improve visibility, and reduce the costs associated with their fixed and mobile communications.”
Tangoe’s CLM software, service and solutions are designed to optimize critical processes within an IT and communications environment. From taming the runaway costs of mobile technologies to working with carriers to help enterprises receive optimal service contract rates, Tangoe can help organizations better manage and transform and their global communications infrastructures.
