There is a direct connection with the right to repair products and the ability to buy and sell used equipment.
That is why the ASCDI has supported various “Right to Repair” bills over the years including the current Right to Repair bill in Minnesota. The bill requires manufacturers of digital electronic products to make parts, specialized tools, firmware, diagnostic and repair information either free of charge or at a fair and reasonable price.
