Ron Breckner, founder of Data Sales Company, dead

Ron Breckner, a founding member of the IT alternate market, has died. The ADCDI notified its members of the death. The ASCDI’s notice reported that Ron Breckner was founder of Data Sales Company in Burnsville, MN. Breckner began his career at IBM as the Branch Manager of St. Louis, MO. He was inducted into the ASCDI Hall of Fame in 2007.

Through his leadership, Data Sales diversified into many operational areas, including leasing, used equipment, new technology, parts, transportation and non-leasing finance. Under his stewardship Data Sales grew to be one of the giants in the industry. The Company’s facilities occupy 220,000 square feet of owned office and warehouse space, with headquarters in Burnsville, Minnesota with a second major facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was a member of the Board of the CDLA for 20 years before it merged with ASCDI. He served on a variety of boards, both public and private and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota. 

Breckner was hailed as an exemplary member of the ASCDI.
