Phil Keenan of Mitel Recognized as One of CRN’s 2012 Channel Chiefs

UC Vendor’s Executive Vice President Acknowledged for Comprehensive Channel Program Restructure and North American Channel Revenue Growth

Mitel® (Nasdaq:MITL), a leading provider of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) software solutions, announced today that Phil Keenan, Mitel’s executive vice president of Americas Sales, Service and Field Marketing, has been named one of CRN’s 2012 Channel Chiefs. This prestigious list of the most influential and powerful leaders in the IT channel recognizes those executives directly responsible for driving channel sales and growth within their organization, while evangelizing and defending the importance of the channel throughout the entire IT Industry.

Phil Keenan was selected based on his leadership in driving the company’s new channel strategy, which contributed significantly to Mitel’s channel growth. With US channel revenues up 25 percent in Mitel’s fiscal quarter that ended on October 31, 2011, Phil’s efforts have helped significantly increase North American channel business. In addition to new channel initiatives, Keenan has also augmented Mitel’s channel executive staff to continue to grow Mitel’s channel partner program.

For the ninth consecutive year, Channel Chiefs were selected by the CRN editorial team based on channel experience, program innovations, channel-driven revenue, and public support for the importance of IT Channel Sales.
