Networking and Cloud-based Collaboration Technologies Present Powerful Client Value Proposition
Atlanta, GA and New York, NY – August 6, 2014 – NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the information and communications technology (ICT) solutions business within NTT (NYSE: NTT), today announced that two of its subsidiaries established a reselling agreement that makes global cloud-based collaboration and network integration not only easier to use, but available on demand. Arkadin, one of the largest and fastest growing global Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) services providers, and NTT America, the U.S.-based provider of corporate networking and data center services, are both subsidiaries of NTT Com.
The agreement pairs Arkadin’s full suite of collaboration solutions with NTT America’s global cloud and network integration services under the Arcstar Conferencing brand, spanning audio, web, video conferencing and unified communications. Clients will benefit from significant synergies which will result in broader deployments of global solutions with world-class support. With joint operations in more than 30 countries, Arkadin and NTT America’s geographic proximity to enterprise client locations will appeal to enterprise clients’ prerequisites for high levels of client care and service management.
Demand for collaboration and Unified Communications services is robust. According to Wainhouse Research, the Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) market is projected to grow at 38% CAGR for the next few years. And in North America, revenues will top $4.7 billion and represent 70% of the global market by 2017, nearly four times the market’s current $1.3B revenue trend in 2013 (Wainhouse Research 2013 Worldwide Unified Communications-as-a-Service Market Sizing & 5 Year Forecast).
“By combining NTT Communications’ expertise in networking, data and IP services with Arkadin’s complete suite of collaboration solutions, we can successfully provide a more in-depth global communications solution to our current and prospective clients,” says Kazuhiro Gomi, President and CEO, NTT America. “The premium quality, simplicity and scalability of Arkadin’s collaboration services will be especially valuable for our global clients.”
“This is an extremely strategic alliance and a natural extension of our recent acquisition by NTT Communications,” says Mark Alexander, Managing Director of Arkadin North America. “We are both heavily invested in complementary cloud-based collaboration solutions that when paired, present a powerful value proposition for our customers.”
