Irving, Texas – September 5, 2013 – NEC Corporation of America (NEC) today announced that Voice Carrier, LLC has earned certification for its SIP Service platform to work with the NEC UNIVERGE® SV8100 Communications Server and the SL1100 Communications System. This certification confirms that these communications servers will work reliably with Voice Carrier’s IntelliSIP™ SIP trunking service.

SIP trunking has been shown to dramatically reduce monthly recurring operating costs over traditional digital telephony services. NEC’s UNIVERGE SV8100 Communications Server and the SL1100 Communications System are ideal IP telephony solutions for SMBs that wish to effectively compete in today’s market and grow their businesses over time. It offers a robust, feature-rich server-based solution that supports voice, video and wireless communications and can be deployed in both branch and remote offices.

“The combination of NEC’s UNIVERGE SV8100 and SL1100 communications systems and Voice Carrier’s IntelliSIP service means that organizations can provide a strong unified communications base while also improving the customer experience and delivering enhanced productivity to the work environments,” said Ram Menghani, vice president of product management and development for NEC Corporation of America.

“We worked very closely with the NEC compliance team to ensure the highest quality of interoperability between NEC’s UNIVERGE SV8100 and SL1100 communications systems and Voice Carrier’s IntelliSIP trunking service. Now, our many channel partners can actively position a more cost-effective and intelligent SIP phone service to their existing and future customers, while earning industry-leading monthly commissions on the new lower phone bills,” said Gary Johnson, CEO of Voice Carrier. “This is a win-win proposition. The end user business significantly cuts its monthly phone bill by up to 70%, while the partner earns new monthly recurring commission revenues.”
