OTTAWA, Sept. 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Mitel® (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW), a leading provider of cloud and premises-based unified communications software solutions, has appointed Michael McCarthy as Vice President of Investor Relations. In this role, Mr. McCarthy will have executive responsibility for managing and maintaining a comprehensive investor relations program for the company, and for communicating with both institutional and retail investors.
Mr. McCarthy reports to Mitel Chief Financial Officer, Steve Spooner.

Prior to that, Mr. McCarthy worked in a series of progressively senior investor relations and strategic management roles at several mid-cap technology companies, including Brooks Automation, Photronics and Evergreen Solar.
