eSummit Moves to Tempe, Arizona — March 9-10, 2027

SERI is excited to announce big changes to the Electronics Sustainability Summit (eSummit), marking the event’s continued evolution.

After each event, we take a step back to ask how we can strengthen the experience. For 2027, that evolution includes a new location, a move to a spring schedule, a focused two-day format, and new opportunities to continue the conversations throughout the year. Though previously announced as a fall 2026 event, the next eSummit will instead take place March 9-10, 2027, in Tempe, Arizona, at the Omni Tempe Hotel at Arizona State University.

We’ve wanted to move the eSummit to a spring schedule since its inception, and this was the time to do it. Between a crowded fall conference season and year-end demands, Q4 asks a lot of people. A spring eSummit positions those conversations at a point when strategies are still taking shape.

Tempe, located within the Phoenix metropolitan area, provides convenient access and a walkable setting that supports both important discussions and casual connections outside of scheduled sessions. And, you really can’t beat springtime weather in Arizona.

The 2027 program is built around two days of facilitated roundtables, presentations, working sessions, and peer conversations, with exhibit space woven directly into the experience. This new structure is designed to foster greater participation around the challenges that matter most to the people in the room.

We’re also rethinking how the eSummit works beyond the in-person event. Starting this year, we’re adding a webinar series and working groups so the conversations can continue year-round.

“The eSummit has grown into something we’re really proud of, and after every year, we reflect on what we’ve learned and how we can make the event stronger. For 2027, that means a new location, a new time of year, and a tighter format, along with opportunities to continue the conversations throughout the year. We’re excited about where things are headed and can’t wait to share more details in the months ahead.”   — Jeff Seibert, Chief Provocateur, SERI
