Eco-systems at the core of the IBM strategy are enhanced by the collaboration agreement with Nokia, Podcast

The pandemic is over, but the magnitude of network security holes exposure provided by the epidemic is now being addressed by delivering more tightly controlled micro-networks. The Nokia agreement will allow IBM to rapidly deploy those micro-networks around the world.

Over the last 24 months, enterprise organizations have learned what hardware and functions can be grouped together to enhance performance and security.  Those categories are now being enclosed in micro networks that the Nokia technology will allow IBM personnel to deploy quickly and efficiently while taking advantage of the 5G edge technology as well.

Once the micro network is put in place, there will be more orchestration to put in place AI, automation, and analytics to enhance the micro network performance. 

This is all being accomplished with the Communication Service Providers in mind since they are the primary channel that IBM is using to implement these solutions. For example, retail operations will be able to take advantage of 5G and utilize real time AI to improve the customer experience as well as increase sales.
