Online Branded Hardware Sales Elevate Delivery of Independent IT Support and Maintenance to Help Customers Worldwide Improve IT Asset Lifecycle Management and Optimize IT Infrastructures

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – January 16, 2019 – Curvature, the world’s largest provider of third-party maintenance and multi-vendor IT lifecycle services, today introduced a new E-Commerce offering to expedite the delivery of more than 100 Curvature-branded products, including optical network transceivers, network interface cards, dual in-line memory, solid state drives and related accessories. This capability complements Curvature’s menu of value-added IT hardware, maintenance and professional services, providing customers worldwide with rapid access to certified commodity gear at significant savings.

“Global organizations—regardless of region or industry—are struggling to innovate while under the pressure of unrelenting budget constraints,” said Elizabeth Austin, CIO of Curvature. “Our new E-Commerce site extends Curvature’s portfolio of end-to-end IT services while empowering customers to optimize their IT environments without having to compromise performance based on budget.”

One Stop for Critical IT Services

Companies can purchase Curvature-branded network and data center accessories at between 50% to 90% off typical manufacturer list prices. Additional Capex and Opex economies of scale can be realized by combining Curvature’s E-Commerce capabilities with the company’s cadre of value-added IT services and third-party maintenance. Most all products purchased from the E-Commerce site carry a lifetime warranty; Curvature-branded SSDs carry a limited lifetime warranty.

With more than 2,300 employees working from over 100 offices and service centers in 11 countries, Curvature’s global team of IT experts leverage more than 600 parts depots and automated tools to meet ever-increasing demands for vendor-agnostic network and data center services. Onsite, on-demand and remote support offerings streamline network, data center and cloud installations as well as consolidations, upgrades, migrations and moves.

“Over 15,000 customers around the globe, including some of the world’s biggest brands, rely on Curvature to achieve maximum return on their IT investments,” said Sachi Thompson, EVP, Supply Chain for Curvature. “As stakeholders in their success, we apply stringent testing, rigorous quality processes and operational excellence to offer a ready supply of equipment, accessories and support options.”

E-Commerce Enhances Third Party Maintenance

As one of the leading providers of Third Party Maintenance (TPM), Curvature’s independent support offers customers the much-desired ability to extend the useful life of many existing IT assets. According to Gartner’s 10 Ways to Reduce the Cost of Acquiring Servers, “This alternative to OEM maintenance is becoming more common in the hardware support market, with 59% of the top 500 global customers using TPM providers as a form of support in their environments in 2016.”[1]

Curvature’s 24/7 global critical hardware maintenance for data centers, networks and remote/branch offices is enhanced by the new E-Commerce offering. Curvature’s local and global support teams can help customers receive cables, memory and other accessories required at regular intervals. Support is further enhanced by unique functionality, including Remote Enterprise Monitoring (REM), which automates global ticketing and event management, as well as “call home” capabilities for many platforms. Moreover, Curvature’s ClearView™ assessment service provides a detailed review of all hardware assets to determine an optimal, vendor-neutral support strategy for current and planned hardware assets.

With more than 1.25 million devices under management, Curvature will continue to scale its global footprint and local reach to meet the growing demand for end-to-end IT services that offer customers higher levels of IT freedom and flexibility.
