Maik describes the vital role ITAD plays in the equipment cycle. Whether equipment being discharged by an end user is headed for a process where it will be made ready for resale or whether its headed for final disposal, ITAD sets standards to assure buyer and seller that previously stored information has been industrially deleted, and that the product has been brought back to operational standards or has been properly prepared for final disposal. Maik is looking forward to being a panelist and booth host and he sees it as chance to “knock” on the door of companies to see what partner firms might make a good match.
