Zensar Wins Multi-Year Contract with City of San Diego

The City will be able to offer innovative approaches to managing its network while saving taxpayers money

San Jose, CA, April 3, 2018: : Zensar, a leading digital solutions and technology services company that specializes in partnering with global organizations across industries on their Digital transformation journey, announced that it has recently been awarded a four year, multi-million dollar contract from the City of San Diego for network services. The contract has the option of extension of two additional two-year terms with the total not to exceed contract value being approximately USD 79 MN.

Zensar has been providing network support services to some of the original pioneers in the networking revolution for almost two decades and has experience in assisting customers with navigating complex network upgrades and defining future technology roadmaps. Zensar has successfully executed multiple transformational projects around enhancements and upgrades of customer’s network data and voice environments. Zensar’s Digital Enterprise Applications, as part of the solution, will also improve effectiveness and efficiency of services, and offer improved visibility to service status and real-time reporting.
Zensar is committed to continuously improving the City of San Diego’s network and its service delivery and has proposed a Network Managed Services solution that will improve end-user experience through a seamlessly integrated delivery model. Additionally, it has strategically partnered with City-certified Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) IMG Networks for portions of our service solution.
As part of the engagement, there will be significant, local presence in the community by Zensar. The Zensar team working on this project will be dedicated to the City of San Diego, with the key employees located within blocks of the downtown City campus at WeWork and the rest of the team at Zensar’s Network operating centre in Dallas, Texas, where the City’s current Data Center is also located. Zensar brings the added advantage of operating a major parts depot as part of its business. With the addition of 24/7 monitoring and priority access to its own parts, it will be possible to react to issues quickly and address hardware issues expeditiously which will significantly reduce downtime.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, Zensar will be supporting science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education for youth by investing in programs in the San Diego region. We will also be expanding our support of STEM in San Diego by offering mentorships, participating in career fairs, conducting public speaking engagements and investing further in educational opportunities.
