SoTel logoMARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO–(Jan 7, 2013) – SoTel Systems, LLC, a leading supplier of business communications equipment, products and services, announced today the acquisition of certain assets of Connecticut based BSL Telephony Services, a nationwide telecom sales, service and maintenance company.

BSL provides best-in-class support services including authorized repair for Aastra, Avaya, and Iwatsu as well as nationwide on-site maintenance supporting nearly all telephony platforms.

“Bringing BSL into the SoTel family enhances and strengthens both businesses,” said James Goebel, SoTel Systems president and CEO. “BSL adds manufacturer authorized repair services, a nationwide maintenance network with 2 to 4 hour response times, and a very skilled team. The combination will extend SoTel’s services offerings. Our customers will better serve their end users across the country no matter if they simply need maintenance on a legacy system or need to install a brand new IP-PBX.”

“This integration enables us to support existing clients of both companies more fully and to deliver our services and product offerings in a way that we haven’t been able to before,” noted Scott Latimer, BSL vice president of sales.

Goebel continued, “BSL’s reputation and personnel are of the highest caliber, and our two cultures should mesh well together.  This is a major step towards our vision of a true one-stop shop Value Add Distribution and Services company.  We feel we have a very compelling story to tell our existing and future customers.”

BSL’s 30,000 sq. ft. facility and twenty employees will be integrated with SoTel’s existing infrastructure.  SoTel expects to retain the entire BSL staff while planning to invest and expand their new Connecticut-based workforce to provide greater customer service.
