SuperSaturday sponsorship is an opportunity for active participation, service improvement

Sunnyvale, Calif.— January 17, 2014—TERiX Computer Service once again participated as a sponsor of the fifth SuperSaturday
event hosted by The Retail Orphan Initiative (RetailROI) in advance of the National Retail Federation’s Annual Conference held this
week in New York City. The purpose of RetailROI is to raise awareness and provide real solutions for the more than 400 million
vulnerable children worldwide, and 94% of all RetailROI donations in 2013 went directly to helping orphans and vulnerable children.
TERiX considers the SuperSaturday event to be a key opportunity to interact with and better understand the needs of retail
customers, many of whom are members of RetailROI. At the SuperSaturday event, TERiX representatives actively engage with
retail IT executives and CIOs and attend sessions that identify mission-critical IT needs .
“TERiX is constantly broadening its offerings for existing retail customers and trying to reach more retailers who are looking to gain a
more complete service solution on the datacenter side,” says Raul Guerra, TERiX Sales Manager. “The SuperSaturday RetailROI
event has been an important place to listen and learn from the retail industry, and then take those insights back with us to better
tailor our services to meet those needs.”
According to Gartner Analyst Jeff Roster at the event, overall retail IT spending is on pace to increase to between 4% and 5% of
revenue in 2014 due to major initiatives including applied innovation, mobile strategy, and big data analytics. But other IT areas may
see flat budgets or even cuts despite the higher overall spending. Analysts suggest that effective integration of these initiatives will
determine winners and losers in the coming year.
Successful initiatives therefore will require attention to budget and results both, and TERiX has been able to tailor its datacenter
hardware maintenance services to succeed in this retail environment. For instance, in order to reduce retailer costs as well as
contract complexities, customers can specify different service levels down to the device level on the same contract to optimize levels
of service with levels of expense, and can combine server, storage and network hardware from more than 30 different OEM brands
on the same contract. In contrast to single-brand or single-service-level solutions, TERiX is able to come alongside retailers and
encourage rather than hinder agility and freedom of choice in the datacenter, and on the sales floor.
TERiX Computer Service is a Founding Level Sponsor of RetailROI.
