As per the estimate nearly 14 billion devices, appliances and systems will be connected to the internet by 2022. From nest connected thermostats to upcoming connected homes from Apple or Google’s Brillo. The manufacturing sector will soon be looking towards IT as a solution provider for all their needs from connected travelling system, to a more advance fuel mapping systems across vehicles for a logistics chain. The internet of things has been catching up in the trend already as major service providers are jumping in to this bandwagon by providing there IOT platforms and enabling the world for their customers by providing in-depth analysis of each and everything happening around them.

Just imagine a scenario where a cisco server can intelligently sense its component failure and sends a mail with procurement details to the maintenance team which in only one visit will be able to maintain it also just sense the amount of Business Intelligence it will be developing for the world where the design and manufacturing team can understand the frequent problems and can resolve it.

Automobile regulation authorities can check the emission of all the vehicles by a single application and help nail out future Volkswagen emission scandal.

The world is soon going to get transformed in to a connected world.

The technologies which will be handy in this scenario will NOSQL, HADOOP, HBase, Flume, Storm, RapidMQ, Kafka, several protocols, DI, Business Intelligence etc.
