Award recognizes economic growth, expansion and hiring in Michigan

TROY, Mich., (June 9, 2017) – Crestmark Bank, headquartered in Troy, Mich., has been recognized by Corp! Magazine as one of Michigan’s Economic Bright Spots for 2017. The award celebrates standout companies with continued economic growth, expansion and hiring over the last 10 years. Crestmark’s recognition was based on annual growth revenue, which increased more than 22%, and a history of sustained hiring growth to serve an expanding number of small business customers.

Founded in 1996, Crestmark Bank is a commercial finance company who helps small- to medium-sized businesses access working capital from their existing assets such as accounts receivable or inventory. Crestmark provides alternative funding through equipment financing, leasing and government-guaranteed lending products.

“We help small businesses survive and grow,” said Dave Tull, CEO at Crestmark. “We are continually looking for niches in which traditional banks don’t like to play. We help businesses secure capital for start-ups, turnarounds, restructuring and other special circumstances. We are proud to develop business initiatives throughout Michigan and the U.S. and we are pleased that Corp! Magazine recognized Crestmark employees for their contribution to the state’s economic progress.”

Crestmark and the entire cast of 2017 winners and innovators are featured in the July/August 2017 print issue of Corp! Lisa Beattie, senior vice president, attended an awards ceremony on June 8 at the International Banquet Center in Detroit, where Michigan’s best and brightest honorees were recognized.
